Christmas Mass Times

The following mass schedule will apply at Timoleague this week. There will be mass at Timoleague Parish Church on Wednesday, December 24^th at 6pm. On Christmas Day mass will be celebrated at 11.30am.

Broadstrand Swim

The annual Broadstrand swim will take place on Christmas morning beginning at 12.30pm. This charity swim has really gripped the imagination of the public since it humble beginnings some 50 years ago. It now ranks as one of the most popular events in the locality and goes from strength to strength as the years go by. Many take a once off plunge at this time during the off season but year-round swimming has now become the “in-thing” at this popular resort.

Wedding Bells

Argideen Rangers club secretary Paul Hurley married Ruth Skehan on Friday last. Ruth is a native of Co. Kilkenny and Paul has been based there for the past number of years. Both are congratulated on their wedding and carry the best of good wished from all in Argideen Rangers country.

Ibane Ladies Call Up

Local girls, Aoife Harte, Aoife Walsh and Mairead Whelton have been selected on the Cork under 16 A Ladies Football panel for 2026, while Niamh Doyle will be part of the under 16 B panel. Ciara Daly had gained a place on the under 14 A panel. This is a great achievement for the girls, their families and their club.
