Poc Fada
December 30, 2025
The annual Argideen Rangers Poc Fada took place over the festive period with over 43 teams taking part in the road hurling event from Courtmacsherry to Timoleague.
So many people generously donated prizes, contributed financially, and helped out on the day. The club is truly grateful for the support and is delighted to donate all proceeds raised to Cancer Connect.
Argideen Rangers is proud to support this incredible charity. Cancer Connect is a not for profit organisation that coordinates transport to Cork hospitals for passengers attending radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and other cancer related appointments. It is a free, flexible, and confidential service operating five days a week, run entirely by volunteer drivers.
For the record, the winning Poc Fada girls team included; Niamh Doyle,
Juliet Harte and Molly Twomey. The victorious U16 team comprised Dylan Harte, Jack Harte and Danny Connolly. And the adult team with the least number of shots were John Michael Foley, Ellen Foley and Sean O’Callaghan.
