Timoleague National School play Gael Scoil Ui Riada, Bishopstown in the hurling final at Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Wednesday next, May 20^th. Throw in is at 10am. Supporters will recall that they were beaten in the final two years ago and hopes are high that they can come out on the right side on Wednesday. It is a great achievement for any school to qualify for a Sciath na Scol final at Pairc Ui Chaoimh considering that schools from all over the county take part in this historic competition. One has to go back to 1992 for Timoleague’s last success in the final. Some, no doubt can recall that Timoleague beat Crossmahon NS 2-5 to 1-3 in that final. They were agonisingly defeated by a point in the final the previous year by Ballinspittle NS. The team and management carry the good wishes of all in Timoleague and Argideen Rangers as they strive for glory.
