League Hurling
The Argideen Rangers junior hurlers lost their penultimate league game versus Aghada last weekend on a score of 4-22 to 0-17. It was an opportunity for others to stake a claim for a starting position due to exam commitments, injuries and holidays. Both teams had eleven scores each at half time, but Aghada's two goals against the wind were crucial. Seán Murray, Jack Lawton and Ger Crowley stood out in defence with Paudie Butler and John Michael O' Callaghan reliable as ever up front. Some well taken second half points from Finbarr Butler, Sean Murray, Joe Murphy and Cathal O' Donovan were not enough to change the outcome. Team; John Sheehan, Charlie Dineen, Jack Lawton, Ger Crowley, Conor Lehane, Seán Murray, Kevin Hennessy, Cathal O' Donovan, Finbarr Butler, Paudie Butler, Eoin Lawton, John Michael O' Callaghan, Sean Walsh, Joe Murphy and Marcus Kelly. Subs used; Donal Sutton and Pat Burke.
The footballers will play Aghinagh away in their last football league game on Thursday June 18th at 8pm.
