GAA Lottery Draw
There was no winner of the Argideen Rangers GAA lottery jackpot of €15,000 last weekend. The numbers drawn were 4, 8, 11, and 25. Lucky dip winners of €30 each included;
Seanie Griffin, Ballinroher. T&N Collins, 087/****248, Eilish Hayes, Courtmacsherry and Peadar Murphy, Kilbrittain.
Next week’s draw with a jackpot of €15,100 will be held at Monks Lane on Sunday August 2nd. Tickets at €2 each or 3 for €5 can be bought at Foley’s Centra, Pad Joe’s Bar, Monk’s Lane, Charlie Madden’s Bar, The Brewery Bar or from any club officer. Supporters of the draw are also asked to avail of modern technology by using the club’s online link by visiting www.clubspot.ie where one can avail of the user-friendly website. PJHC Begins
Argideen Rangers kick off their 2026 Premier Junior Hurling championship campaign this weekend and will be in a group containing Mayfield, Barryroe and St. Finbarr’s second team. Mayfield are our first opponents with a 1:30pm throw in on Sunday August 2nd in Newcestown.
Junior A Football Championship
Argideen Rangers secured an important win in their first game of the JAFC last Monday night against Castlehaven. The final score was 2-09 to 1-11 in Ardfield. Team: John Michael O' Callaghan, Fergal Walsh, John Sheehan, Darragh O' Donovan, Bill Fleming, Charlie Twomey, Sean Henchion, Ger Crowley, Jack Lawton, Matthew Lawton, Finbarr Butler, Kevin Hennessy, James Crowley, Dara Walsh and Sean Walsh. Subs used: Jack Twomey and Eoin Lawton.
Championship Venue
Timoleague was the venue for the opening round of the junior “A” football championship game between Kilbrittain and Randal Og on Saturday evening last. A large crowd witnessed a thrilling game in glorious sunshine with Kilbrittain scoring a late point in added time to record a 0-18 to 1-14 win.
Meanwhile Our Lady’s Well Sports Complex will also be the venue for the clash between Ballinascarthy and Kilbrittain in the first round of the junior “A” hurling championship on Bank Holiday Monday, August 3rd. at 2pm.
