GAA Lottery Draw

There was no winner of the Argideen Rangers GAA lottery jackpot of €15,100 last weekend. The numbers drawn were 5, 18, 27, and 31. Lucky dip winners of €30 each included;Michael Burke, Darrara; David Madden, Main St Timoleague; Mary Ann Coughlan, 087 **204 and Eileen Keohane, Courtmacsherry.

Next week’s draw with a jackpot of €15,200 will be held at Pad Joe's Bar on Monday August 10th. Tickets at €2 each or 3 for €5 can be bought at Foley’s Centra, Pad Joe’s Bar, Monk’s Lane, Charlie Madden’s Bar, The Brewery Bar or from any club officer. Supporters of the draw are also asked to avail of modern technology by using the club’s online link by visiting www.clubspot.ie where one can avail of the user-friendly website. PJHC win

 Argideen Rangers kicked off their 2026 Premier Junior Hurling championship campaign in style last Sunday with a fine 2-16 to 1-8 win over Mayfield in Newcestown. It was a pleasing win considering there were a number of championship debutants including Sean Murray, Jack Twoomey, Charlie Dineen and Kevin Hennessy. Key performances included a magnificent display of shot stopping by John Sheehan in goal, excellent performances and a goal each from Darragh O' Donovan and Sean Walsh. Their next hurling match is against Barryroe on August 23rd. Team; John Sheehan, Charlie Dineen, Ger Crowley, Cathal O' Donovan, Sean Henchion, Fergal Walsh, Sean Murray, Matthy Lawton, Darragh O' Donovan, Finbarr Butler, Sean Walsh, Charlie Twoomey, Dara Walsh, John Michael O' Callaghan and James Crowley.
