Catwalk Extravaganza

A reminder that the Catwalk Extravaganza organised by Timoleague Ladies Club in association with Timoleague Harvest Festival will take place on Friday next, August 28^th from 7pm. This eagerly awaited event will be held at Clonakilty Agri Conference Centre, Darrara, P85AX52 and will include a cheese and wine reception with an exciting array of trade stalls. Local fashion retailers will be on hand to showcase their latest designs and glam guidelines and insider style hacks will also feature. MC on the night will be Siobhan O’Mahony. Proceeds from the event will go to Cancer Connect and Timoleague Community. Tickets are available on line from eventbrite.com    

Tidy Towns

The dedicated, hard-working committee members are still active making sure that Timoleague is looking its best as the summer draws to a close. The flower boxes on display at both bridges have aroused very favourable comment from both locals and visitors alike. However, someone was so captivated with those on display on The Courtmacsherry Bridge that they couldn’t keep their greedy hands off them and they were “borrowed” on a permanent basis. At least it is gratifying to know that the person or persons responsible seem to have good taste with regard to flowers. Maybe thistles should be on display next year!
